A year ago Wednesday, the Carolina Panthers’ quarterback was hospitalized after an accident that sent his truck rolling on a bridge less than a half a mile away from his office. 365 days later, the Panthers are the NFL’s lone unbeaten team, led by the league’s likely MVP.

So, yeah, it’s been quite a year.
