Quarterbacks are ultimately judged by what they do in the playoffs. Newton wasn’t great against the Cardinals, accounting for two touchdowns and a couple of turnovers, but he did enough to help the Panthers win their first postseason game since 2005.

“Our biggest thing was just to get in. Through hell or high water, we just wanted to find a way to get into the playoffs and see what else happens after that. There’s a lot of guys that are thankful for the opportunity, and we weren’t going to take it for granted today.”
